As a Spiritual Life Coach, I have a lot of clients who come to me feeling stuck. What I have discovered is that as a people we often feel like we have no options. However, while they may feel stuck this is because they are overlooking options they have.
I hear you, loudly and clearly – I can’t leave this job, I can’t leave this relationship, and the list and reasons go on. The hard truth is that you have options but sometimes they are options we are scared to take but are necessary to pivot your lives into the direction you want.
You also must understand that opportunities come in both big and frequent small options. Let’s approach this from the perspective of feeling stuck but not being able to leave your job because you need the set salary or income. Your first step may not be walking in and quitting but instead smaller steps to reduce and discipline your budget. By making small daily choices to decrease your spending you are creating a bigger picture where you are not stretched financially and where you are able to start saving so you can prepare to adjust to a different job.
The hardest part for most people is making choices that are not desirable to the life they want to live while creating the life they want. Using the same example, I often hear, I work hard I want to be able to treat myself. So how are you treating yourself? How do the purchases add up daily, weekly, monthly? This is why people feel like they are stuck, they only see the big picture and are not looking at the small choices they make every day.
So which road are you taking to support the life you are building?
