There is only Life

I am sitting here trying to feel inspired. I’ve erased line after line talking about my recent feeling of mental fog and distraction. Started typing about the overwhelming feeling of knowing something big is looming but not being able to define it and how we need to trust. Again, I deleted every word.

I said Spirit what do we need to convey to the readers? I asked them what you the reader need to hear. Then the validation came for every word I had typed and erased with the playing of a familiar and favorite tune In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins.

The words burned into my soul.

“I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord
And I’ve been waiting for this moment, for all my life, oh lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord, oh lord”

This made me think about everything we face. The things we may feel are looming and the things we never see coming. It made me think about how my mental fog may be a way to keep me focused on where I need to be and not worrying about things, I won’t even know I will face but still fear. Really, I thought about my worst fears.

What this process has made me realize is that no matter how much we prepare others or ourselves to prevent or manifest something from happening that there are circumstances and journeys others must face that we cannot control, and it will ripple into our lives.  They will become a part of our story.

As a person with anxiety I know that the incessant worry of what will or will not happen has only prevented me from being in a moment. It has stolen my joy. Joyous moments and tragic moments will come, we cannot change that. We can change how we choose to move forward knowing that life will happen, it’s inevitable.

Do not continue to allow the unknown to distract you from your joy. This is the biggest part of trust. The understanding that other people’s journeys collide with ours in the most tragic, joyous, and uncontrollable ways. Be inspired, cry, celebrate, love and be kind for there is only life and we are here together.

Thank you for taking time to read this blog. I am here, sending you inspiration, insight, and strength for what lies ahead in your own self-discovery and connection with Spirit. I hope somewhere between the lines of what I share and do not fully say that you find inspiration and revelations about yourself and your own journey. Please, if so, inspired leave a comment. Your feedback will help me better generate topics suited to you, the reader.
