The Leaves of The Phoenix Burn Bright

Living in the sanctuary of the deep North, we are well into peak season of Fall colors. I was enjoying my drive through the curvy, scenic highways when suddenly I was struck by the beauty.

Then came the overwhelming emotion, honestly, I wanted to sob. It was in the feeling of this emotion Spirit talked to be about letting go, transformation, and recreation.

Often, we hear about the caterpillar and the process it goes through to become a beautiful butterfly. It is an amazing feat of our world, poignant in understanding that we all go through stages to become our individual selves. But, in the beauty I was absorbing on the road I heard Spirit ask, “what about when we already think we hold the beauty, learned the lesson, have reached our individual selves, and then are brought to a pivotal moment where we need to let go and recreate”?

In the vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds that make up the lush colors of fall I saw the leaves on the tree swirl and pull together forming a flowing Phoenix in my mind. It was in that vision that I thought about trees, the beauty and value they hold for us. I pondered how they give up so much of themselves in the fall simply to survive and then grow, really recreate themselves in the Spring.

In understanding the science behind the letting go of the trees leaves in the fall we understand why we cannot carry everything with us. It will make us too heavy in the soul, break us when we should bend and learn.

We struggle to let go and, in many aspects, it makes sense, especially the moments we find ourselves in grief but in letting go we are also given the opportunity to recreate ourselves, regenerate, grow anew. In the letting go we do so to survive and when we allow ourselves to grow anew, we rediscover our beauty.

Don’t fear the letting go. Do not prevent yourself from allowing the season of growth to come into your life. For it is only by letting go that we can truly grow – shed that which will not serve you in this season of your life and allow that which will to return and flourish.

Thank you for taking time to read this blog. I am here, sending you inspiration, insight, and strength for what lies ahead in your own self-discovery and connection with Spirit. I hope somewhere between the lines of what I share and don’t fully say you find inspiration and revelations about yourself and your own journey. Please, if so, inspired leave a comment. Your feedback will help me better generate topics suited to you, the reader.
